Bettye Jo Fontenot

Funeral Services will be held at an 11:00 am Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, April 22, 2010 in the Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers for Bettye Jo Fontenot, 75, who passed away on April 19, 2010 at 7:00 pm at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center. Reverend John Deleeuw will be Celebrant of the Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Burial will take place in Calvary Cemetery. Mrs. Fontenot, a resident of Youngsville, LA, was the daughter of the late Buck Denham of Bernice, LA and the former Annie Lovelady of Bernice, LA. She is survived by one daughter, Tanya Sellier of Prairieville, LA; three sons, Ricky McKamie and wife Terry of Prairieville, LA, John Fontenot and wife Debbie of Youngsville, LA, and Darryl Fontenot and friend, Karen Vice of Scott, LA; three step daughters, Genva Harbon of Lafayette, Delores Guillory of Eunice, LA, and Rita Latiolais of Lafayette, LA; one step son, Carl Fontenot of Carencro, LA; eighteen grandchildren, Ian, Damon, Janet, Brian, Detrick, Monica, Dutch, April, Justin, Kimberley, Andrea, Stephanie, Robin, James, Chad, Jason, Kevin, and Jacob; twenty one great grandchildren; thirteen great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Willis Fontenot, one daughter, Pennye Fontenot, three sisters, Mary, Vera and Sybil, one brother, Harold, one granddaughter Brandy, and one grandson Josh. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home of Lafayette Wednesday, April 21, 2010 from 11:00 am until 9:00 pm and on Thursday from 8:00 am until the time of service. A rosary will be recited at the funeral home Wednesday evening at 7:00 pm. Pallbearers will be Damon Fontenot, Ian Fontenot, Tommy Huffman, Jason Gondran, Tyler LeBlanc, and Josh Broussard. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses and doctors at OLOL, 3East as well as the staff at Hospice of Acadiana.
