CHARLOTTE LEE PARKERSON PECK

Funeral Services will be held at Delhomme Funeral Home Chapel of the Flowers on Friday March 15, 2013 at 11:00 AM for Charlotte Lee Parkerson Peck, 86, who passed away on March 13, 2013 at 10:46 AM at Emeritus Assisted Living in Lafayette, LA. The Reverend Thomas Trees of The Episcopal Church of the Ascension will conduct the funeral services. Interment will take place in Lafayette Protestant Cemetery. Charlotte, a resident of, Lafayette, LA was the daughter of the late Beatrice Parker Parkerson and Charles Lee Parkerson. She was a graduate of Carencro High School while living with her dear grandparents, the late Dr. and Mrs. Andre Prejean. She attended USL (SLI) and Spencer Business College, where upon completion, she taught school. She then worked for the USAF as a civilian employee in Albany, GA. Upon returning to Lafayette, she was employed at The Superior Oil Company. She then retired to be a wife and mother to her family. Throughout her life, Charlotte delved in many hobbies and organizations in the many places she lived with her family (Orlando, Atlanta, and New Orleans). She felt very close and devoted to all of her family most especially Lenore Voorhies, Jewell Parkerson Lowe (deceased), Marie Bardos, Louise McCormick, James Parkerson Roy, and Linda Broussard. Charlotte is survived by her two sons Jason Parkerson Peck; Ronald Francis Peck, Jr. and his wife Shari Richard Peck and their four children, Cameron Michael Peck, Madison Grace Peck, Tyler Scott Briley and Meghan Amber Briley; her nephew, Charles Rupert Parkerson, Jr. and his companion, Jamie Owen Crain and his daughter, Lauren Elizabeth Parkerson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Francis Peck, Sr., her parents, Beatrice Parker Parkerson and Charles Lee Parkerson, and her brother, Charles Rupert Parkerson, Sr. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home on Bertrand Drive on Thursday, March 14, 2013 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Visiting hours will continue on Friday from 8:00 AM until time of service. Pallbearers will be James Parkerson Roy, Sr., Charles Parkerson, Jr., Nathan Peck, Michael Doumit, Alfred Richard, John Parkerson Roy, James Parkerson Roy, Jr., Christopher Malin Roy, Steve Duncan and Robert Wooderson. Honorary Pallbearers will be Pete Martin, Bill Davis, Bill Braun, Dan Peck, Dave McCormick and Robert D. Lowe. In Memoriam Pallbearers are Camille Quoyeser and J.C. Chargois. Ronald and Jason Peck would like to thank first and foremost, Rose Mary Sam, for her unwavering devotion and care for their mother. They would also like to thank Shirley LeBlanc, Alma Broussard, and Marcella Schmidt for their care and loyalty to their mother. In addition they would also like to thank the staff and management of Emeritus Assisted Living, the second-floor staff of Lafayette General Regional Medical Center, Dr. Fernando Alemany, Dr. Roderick Clark, and Amedisys Home Care/Hospice all of whom provided exceptional care and comfort for their mother.
