Joseph Easton Doucet

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church for Joseph Easton Doucet, 88, who passed away on April 5, 2017 peacefully at home. Rev. Gilbert Dutel will be the Celebrant of the Mass and will conduct the funeral service. Reading from scripture will be Samantha Cormier and Eric Waltner. Giftbearers will be Melina Mouton, Monya Davis, Desiree Riley, and Seandee Mouton. Burial will take place in Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery. Mr. Joseph, a resident of Scott, was the son of the late Clement Doucet and the former Clotile Michaud. He enjoyed fishing and camping, working in the yard and dancing. He was a member of CFMA Cajun Association and a life time member of the Good Sam's Club. He was preceded in death by 1st wife, Melina Smith Doucet; parents, siblings, Preston Gene Doucet, Delton Doucet, Gerald Doucet, Mary Lou Doucet Williams; and one grandson, Seth Joseph Comeaux. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home on Friday, April 7, 2017 from 10:00AM to 9:00PM. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00pm on Friday evening in the funeral home. Visiting hours will continue on Saturday from 8:00AM until the time of service.
