Lillie H. Thibodeaux

Funeral Services will be held at a 10:00 am Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, January 4, 2010 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Maurice, Louisiana for Lillie H. Thibodeaux, 84, who passed away on January 1, 2010. Reverend Gary Schexnayder, Pastor of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Crowley, will be Celebrant of the Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Music will be provided by Karen Broussard. Song selections will be Amazing Grace, Gentle Woman, On Eagle's Wings, and Here I Am Lord. Entombment will take place at St. Alphonsus Cemetery. Lillie was a resident of Lafayette for the majority of her life and was the daughter of Adam Huval and Amy Boudreaux of Vermilion Parish. She was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church for many years. Lillie was not only a care giver to anyone in need but was an accomplished seamstress and a master at crocheting afghans and baby items. She is survived by her husband, Andrus Thibodeaux of Rayne La, a son, Terry Broussard and his wife Tracy of Lafayette LA, and one daughter, Mae LeBlanc also of Lafayette LA, 2 step sons, Larry Thibodeaux and his wife Sally, and Collin Thibodeaux nine grandchildren, 9 step-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Dallas Broussard, a daughter, Jolene Broussard, a son-in-law Stewart LeBlanc, a granddaughter Nicole L. Crawford, 7 sisters Nolia Broussard and husband Hiram, Eunice Broussard and husband Harry, Winnie Mae Huval, Enola Butaud and her husband Vertis, Annie Vincent and her husband Oltaire, Marie Guidry and her husband Isadore, and Verna Scott and her husband William and one brother, Euzebe Huval and one step grandchild, Troy Menard. The family requests that visiting hours be observed on Sunday, January 3 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM and will continue Monday from 8:00 am until time of service. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm on Sunday in the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Terry Broussard, Justin Broussard, Scott LeBlanc, Charlie LeBlanc, Wesley Turner and Wilton Trahan. Honorary Pallbearers will be Larry Thibodeaux of Duson, Collin Thibodeaux of Rayne, Brennon Broussard, and Brison Broussard. Gift Bearers will be Lauren Broussard, Jaime LeBlanc, Leah LeBlanc, Kati LeBlanc, Gracee LeBlanc and Reagan Crawford..
