Alnorma Ida Schroeter Dufrene

A Graveside Memorial will be held for Alnorma Ida Schroeter Dufrene, 81, who passed away on May 19, 2023. The Memorial will take place Saturday, May 27, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at the Memory Gardens Cemetery in Victoria, Texas. Alnorma was born in Cuero, Texas and was the daughter of the late Anton Conrad Schroeter of Yorktown, Texas and the former Nellie Elizabeth Schroeter Burt of Wrightsboro, Texas. Alnorma was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, granny, and great granny. She enjoyed being with family and hosting family reunions. She loved being outside planting flowers and vegetables. She was very creative and was always working on a project. Working with wood was her favorite activity and craft. Staying busy was her Mantra. She adored taking care of people. She worked over the years as a Nurses’ Assistant, Cashier, Bookkeeper, Night Manager, and Elderly Caregiver. She was survived by two daughters, Kathy Ann Brown and husband, Paul Trahan, Gayle Holsey and husband, Ronal Keith Holsey Jr.; grandchildren, RK Holsey III and wife Rachel Holsey, S.Tyler Holsey, Victoria Holsey Murray and husband Aaron Murray; two great grandsons, Kade Holsey IV, J. Parker Holsey; siblings: Alfred Emil Schroeter and wife Kiyoko Schroeter, Rosa Nell Elliott, Sarah Ebrom and husband Eddie Ebrom, James Henry Burt and wife Nancy Burt, Annie Viola Forehand, Naomi Ruth Darpino and husband J.T. Darpino, Robert Burt and wife Nancy Burt and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Howell Joseph Dufrene; siblings: Annie Worthington, Mildred Milton, Margie Louise Pearson, Emma Elizabeth Fuller, Katherine Lee Elliot, George Conrad Schroeter, Anton Carlton Schroeter, Maurice Eleanor Schroeter, Alice Marie King, Vernon Ray Burt, Fred Williams Burt, and Odell Marshall Burt.
