AMERICK JAMES WEST

A celebration of life will be held for Americk James West on Thursday and Friday, March 7 and 8, 2013 at the Delhomme Funeral Home. Viewing will be Thursday from 10AM to 9PM and Friday from 9AM until the service time at 2PM. The burial will take place in Calvary Cemetery. ? December 15, 1992 ? February 27, 2013 While being serenaded by the "Angel Band", Americk departed "On the wings of a snow-white dove". Immediately, the Grand Master of all embraced him; Old Johnny declared him head lifeguard. Rumor has it that he is also being considered for the positions of project director and head locksmith. Because of Americk, a new policy has been announced: Boots are now the mandatory footwear in heaven. Americk's "Why?" has been answered. He is survived and loved dearly by his parents, Noah James and Thelma Rose West of Lafayette, LA; his sister, Airese Karma West and her partner Troy Donovan Broussard of Lafayette, LA; his brothers, Arion Marbuel West and wife Marissa Dawn of Abbeville, LA and Argen McAllister West currently residing in Urbana, Illinois. Americk is also survived and loved by his niece and nephews: Sloane McAllister West, Tayte Alexander West, Gage Michael and Jareth Allen Meaux, and Cohen James Broussard. He also leaves behind his entire adopted family, the Lea/Ardoin families: Jahana, Kintea', Kieran, Kevin, and Thelma. Americk joined his infant niece, Ava Grace Viator and his Grandma Eva C. West, who was ready with her boxing gloves. Americk and his family experienced an abundance of love and compassion throughout his life from: our families, our friends, his medical professionals, his educational system, and his caregivers. Many may not even realize that they are included in this list: the stranger on the street, the worker at the park, the business owner, all those who chose patience. They blessed us beyond measure; for as Jesus says, "What you do for the least of mine, you do for me.'' For anyone whose life was touched by Americk, the family requests that you share your favorite memories of him through a written message brought to the funeral home, vocalizations at the funeral home, or via www.delhommefuneralhome.com. Deacon Tim Maragos of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church will conduct the funeral services. Pallbearers: Kevin Ardoin, Troy Broussard, Ellen Castellanos, Larry Pothier, Matthew Sibille, Greg Viator, Argen West, and Arion West. Honorary pallbearer: Corey Faulk (deceased).
