Funeral Services will be held at 10:45 AM on Saturday, August 30, 2025 in Delhomme Funeral Home - Chapel of the Flowers for Barbara Ann Arvie, 61, who passed away on August 26, 2025. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home - Bertrand on Saturday, August 30, 2025 from 9:00 AM until the time of service. Burial will take place in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Rev. Jermaine Tezeno, Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church of Ville Platte, Louisiana will conduct the funeral services. Barbara Arvie was born on December 5, 1963, to the cherished union of Willery and Lula Arvie. From a young age, she accepted Christ into her life and was baptized at Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church in Ville Platte, Louisiana. A graduate of Ville Platte High School in 1983, Barbara went on to pursue a career in Medical Billing and Coding, which led to a rewarding career at Iberia Comprehensive Clinic in New Iberia, Louisiana, where she exemplified dedication and professionalism for many years. Barbara’s presence was a gift to all who knew her. Her infectious charm, warmth, and grace created an environment where everyone felt at home. As a devoted mother and grandmother, she held her family - both immediate and extended - dear to her heart. Her love and kindness were not limited to her family but extended to friends, colleagues, and even acquaintances. She had a remarkable ability to make others feel like family, and her generous spirit was felt by all who encountered her. Fellowship was at the core of Barbara’s life, and she expressed that through her constant support, presence, and unwavering love. On August 26, 2025, Barbara was called home to be with the Lord, receiving the ultimate reward for a life lived in love. She leaves behind her beloved daughter, Lateigra (Jacque Broussard) Arvie; son Braylon Willis; grandsons Kyndon Arvie and Jace Broussard; siblings Lee Arvie Sr., Linda (James) Tezeno, Floyd Arvie, Patricia (Allen) Thomas, Willery (Re-Ethel) Arvie Jr., Clayton Arvie, Burney Arvie, Katina Arvie, and Amanda “Rockel” Arvie; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who were blessed by her love. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Willery and Lula Arvie; brothers Ellery (Louisa) Arvie and Jimmy Arvie; nephew Hillary Arvie; niece Stacy Washington; and sister-in-law Jennifer Arvie. There are special people in our lives who never leave us, even after they are gone. Though Barbara has passed from this earthly life, her smile, warmth, and the way she made everyone feel like family will live on in all those who were touched by her. If we continue to speak her name, her love and legacy will endure, reminding us of the beauty, smiles, and grace she brought into this world. Pallbearers will be Braylon Willis, Kyndon Arvie, Jacque Broussard, Deonte Arvie, Ira Lewis and Javion Batiste. Honorary Pallbearers will be Terry Willis, Marquanski Arvie, Chris Willis, Trininski Arvie, Kellen Lewis, King Lewis, and Daryl Thomas. From the Family of Barbara Arvie.
