Barbara Ann Marshall

A Liturgy of the Word will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, July 28, 2023 in Delhomme Funeral Home - Chapel of the Flowers for Barbara Ann Marshall, 76, who passed away on July 24, 2023. Fr. Louis Richard, Pastor of St. Mary Magdalen - Abbeville, will conduct the funeral services. Mrs. Marshall, a resident of Lafayette, was the daughter of the late Nolan John Albarado and the former Verdie Mae Roberts. For 27 years, Barbara worked with the FAA and Army Corps of Engineers in Alaska; here she met Jerry, her husband of 34 years, and eventually retired there. Following retirement, they moved to Ft. Worth for a few years and then picked up for Abbeville, LA. After 12 years in Abbeville, they picked up again for a log cabin in Littleton, NH. Barbara and Jerry lived and traveled to many places, but always found themselves heading back up North to be near family and friends. She is survived by her husband, Jerald "Jerry" P. Marshall; sons, Chris Michael Richard (Cindy Childress) and Leeward John Richard (Debbie); stepchildren, Robyn A. Marshall, Kerri J. Marshall, Jeremy P. Marshall (Veronica), and Derick J. Marshall (Brenda); sisters, Gwendolyn Albarado Rieber Reich (Lewis), Jacqueline Albarado Rhoads (Dusty), Ramona Albarado Faherty (David), and Roxanne Albarado Stewart (Blaine Prudhomme); brother, Michael John Albarado (Arlene); and numerous grandchildren, nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Nolan and Verdie Albarado; and brothers-in-law, Frank Rieber III and Pete Stewart. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home - Chapel of the Flowers on Friday, July 28, 2023 beginning at 2:00 PM. A Rosary will be prayed at 2:30 PM on Friday afternoon in the funeral home. Visiting hours will continue, following the Rosary, until the time of service.
