Beo Baudoin

Funeral Services will be held at a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am on Thursday, August 27, 2009 at St. Joseph Church for Beo Baudoin, 96, who passed away on August 24, 2009 at 2:50 PM at Camelot of Broussard. Reverend William Gearheard, Pastor of St. Joseph Church, will be Celebrant of the Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Entombment will take place in St. Joseph Cemetery. Mr. Baudoin, a resident of Lafayette, LA, was the son of the late Joseph Baudoin of Milton, Louisiana and the former Euphemie Hebert of Milton, Louisiana. He was a member of St. Joseph Church . He served in WWII from 1941 to 1946 serving under Generals Patton, Eisenhower, and Bradley in Africa, Sicily, France and Belgium, and was wounded on Christmas Eve, 1944 on the Rhine River receiving a purple heart. He was an usher at St. Joseph Church for forty years and he was a member of Milton Civic Club, The VFW, the American Legion and the Association of Disabled Veterans. The family would like to thank the staff, especially the caregivers, of Camelot of Broussard Nursing Home and Hospice of Acadiana. We would also like to thank Lul Theriot, his niece, and Al and Ann Keleshain, his neighbors, for all of their help while he was living at home. He is survived by 1 step son, John Chester Baudoin and wife Jan H. of Lafayette; one daughter in law, Joyce Baudoin; four step grandchildren, Blake Baudoin and wife Ashley, John Wayne Miller, Sr. and wife Joyce, Robert Miller, and Jennifer Duhon and husband Scotty; several great and great great grandchildren; and companion for over 20 years, Aline Dubois. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Elize T. Baudoin, a step daughter, Mary Velga Baudoin, and a step son, Joseph Dave Baudoin. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home of Maurice on Wednesday, August 26, 2009 from 2:00 pm until 8:30 pm and on Thursday, from 8:00 am until the time of services. A rosary will be recited at the funeral home on Wednesday evening at 7:00 pm. Pallbearers will be Carroll Baudoin, Blake Baudoin, John Wayne Miller, Jr., Troy Daigle, Scotty Duhon, and Keith Theriot. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ares Lee Menard, Johnny Miller, Sr., Robert Miller, Warren Baudoin, and Linton Cormier.
