Betty Jean Cleveland

Betty Jean Conrad Cleveland went to be with our Lord on Tuesday, March 13, 2007, surrounded by family after a valiant fight against cancer. She was 72. Betty was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by parents, Paul and Alberta Conrad; her sister, Louise Bradley. She is survived by the love of her life and husband, J.C.; three daughters, a son and sixteen grandchildren; Terry and David Hoopman of Midland, TX and their children, Melissa and Travis Denson and Caresse and Derek Hoopman, Lana and Walter Paul Badeaux of Lafayette, LA and their children, Nicolas, Kolby, Jacee and Lilianna, Paula and John Cox of Baton Rouge, LA and their children, Jillian, Trey, Johnathon and Haleigh, and Shontel and Mike Cleveland of Youngsville, LA and their children, Joshua, Jacob, Colbie and Kelsey and numerous friends. Her family was her life and she loved each of them deeply. Betty was a member of the SPE Auxiliary and volunteered as a Pink Lady at Lafayette General Hospital. She was a faithful servant of our Lord and trusted her life to him. She will be missed by all those who loved her and had the privilege of knowing her. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 15, 2007 at 4:00 PM at First Baptist Church in Lafayette. Reverend Steve Horn will conduct the funeral service. Interment will take place in Fountain Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family requests that visiting hours be observed Wednesday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM and continue Thursday from 8:00 AM until the time of service at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be her ten grandsons.
