Betty Frances Quirk

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, July 28, 2014 at Holy Cross Catholic Church for Betty Endris Quirk, 80, who passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at her residence. Reverend Michael Champagne will be Celebrant and Reverend John G. Breaux, Pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Loreauville, LA will be the Con-Celebrant of the Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Burial will take place in Calvary Cemetery. Betty, a resident of Lafayette, LA was the daughter of the late Charles Hardey and the former Lelma Ortego. Although a nurse by profession, Betty was also a self-taught musician and served many years as a Christian Music Minister. Her relationship with her Savior, family and friends, as well as serving others, were her greatest sources of joy. She will forever remain in our hearts and will be missed by all. She is survived by her husband Andrew G. “Nootsy” Quirk; her children, Cathy Bode and husband Bert, Leslie Endris, Charlie Endris, Sally Endris, Carol Fulkerson and husband Chuck; her stepdaughter, Katherine Gardner and husband Jim, Carencro, LA; her stepsons, Richard Quirk and Thomas Quirk, Opelousas, LA; and her brothers, Dr. Ronald Hardey and wife Ruth and Burton Hardey and wife Greta; many grandchildren and many great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband August "Bill" Endris, Jr., her son, August "Billy" Endris, III, & her brother, Charles A. Hardey. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home on Bertrand Drive on Sunday, July 27, 2014 from 11:00 am until 8:00 pm. A Chaplet of Divine Mercy will be prayed at 3:00 pm, with a Rosary immediately following in the funeral home. There will be no visitation on Monday, July 28, 2014 at the funeral home. The family will gather at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 505 Broadmoor Blvd., Lafayette, LA 70503 on Monday, July 28, 2014 at 10:00 am. A Chaplet of Divine Mercy and Rosary will be recited at 10:20 am prior to the Funeral Mass. Pallbearers will be Chris Drounette, Sam Fulkerson, Bert Bode, Rees Bode, Jared Motty, Matt Hardey, and Mike Dupuis. Honorary Pallbearers will be Richard Quirk, Thomas Quirk, and Mike Newburn.
