Beverly Ann D'Aquin

Funeral services will be held at a 10:00 am Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, March 8, 2007 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, for Beverly Ann D'Aquin, 75, who passed away Monday, March 5, 2007 at her residence. Entombment will take place in St. John Mausoleum in Lafayette. Rev. Keith De Rouen, Pastor of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church will be Celebrant of the Mass and conduct the funeral services. Mrs. D'Aquin, the daughter of the late Alvin Mayeux and the former Josephine Guillot, was a longtime resident of Lafayette. She also lived in Plaquemine and Rayne. She was a graduate of Shady Grove High School in Maringouin, La and a graduate of Spencer Business College in Baton Rouge, La. She represented Plaquemine and Rayne in the various Louisiana harvest festivals and the FFA Convention in Kansas City, MO. Mrs. D'Aquin was a homemaker and realtor and owner of French Settler's Realty. The family wants to express special thanks to Diane Breaux and Joel Henderson for their kindness and support. Survivors include her husband, Richard D'Aquin; two daughters, Deborah Ann D'Aquin Grissom and husband, Ken, and Ann Marie D'Aquin Derise and husband, Mark; one son, Richard D'Aquin, Jr.; eleven grandchildren, R. Scott Grissom, Matthew Grissom, Elliott Grissom, Steve Grissom, David D'Aquin, Melanie D'Aquin, Emily D'Aquin, Caroline D'Aquin, Richard D'Aquin III, Natalie Derise, and Olivia Derise; two great-grandchildren; one sister, Lois Barrow. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Alvin Mayeux, Jr. of New Orleans and James Mayeux of Baton Rouge. Visiting hours will be observed on Wednesday from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm and will continue on Thursday from 8:00 am until the time of service. A rosary will be prayed by Rev. Keith De Rouen at 6:00 pm in the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Scott Grissom, Steve Grissom, Matthew Grissom, Elliott Grissom, David D'Aquin, Richard D'Aquin III, Ken Grissom, and Mark Derise. Memorial contributions may be made in the name of Beverly Ann D'Aquin to Carmelite Monastery, 1250 Carmel Drive, Lafayette, La 70501.
