Charleen Boudreaux

Funeral Services will be held at a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, March 4, 2011 in the Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers for Charleen Boudreaux, 73, who passed away on March 1, 2011 at 9:35PM at her residence. Reverend Thomas Voorhies, Pastor of Sts. Peter & Paul Church, will be Celebrant of the Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Reverend Gibert J. Dutel will be con-celebrant. Burial will take place in St. Theresa of the Child Jesus Cemetery in Duson, Louisiana. Mrs. Boudreaux, a resident of Lafayette, LA, was the daughter of the late Jacques Bourque of Lafayette Parish, Louisiana and the former Eve Boullion of Acadia Parish, Louisiana. Charleen enjoyed cooking and entertaining for all of her family and friends and especially being "Meme" to her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling and attending a variety of festivals. She was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. She will be dearly missed. She is survived by her husband, of 52 years, Wayne J. Boudreaux of Lafayette; four daughters, Nancy Boudreaux, and Matthew Gilliam, Pam Mendez and husband, Larry, Sharon Boudreaux and Lisa Roberts and husband Danny all of Lafayette; two sons, Jerry Boudreaux and wife, Dona of Lafayette and Wayne J. Boudreaux II, and wife, Dawn of Duson; nine grandchildren, Paige & J B Boudreaux, Josie, Lily, Jacques, and Ruby Roberts, Molly and Casey Mendez and Abby Boudreaux; her sister, Dorothy 'Dot' Duhon of Judice and her brother, Charles Bourque of Duson. She was preceded in death by her parents, seven sisters, Frances, Mildred, Rose, Ethel Lee, Zeola, Marjorie, Beverly and three brothers, Aaron, and two infant brothers. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home on Thursday, March 3, 2011 from 10:00 am until 9:00 pm and on Friday from 8:00 am until the time of services. A rosary will be recited at 6:30 pm in the funeral home Thursday evening led by Deacon Randy Hyde. Pallbearers will be Bradley Sonnier, Glenn Guidry, Robert Bourque, Keith Junot, Bill Breaux and Ted Duhon.
