Charles Adam LeBlanc

A Liturgy of the Word will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, August 9, 2025 in Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers for Charles Adam LeBlanc, 78, who passed away on August 3, 2025. Deacon Robert Klingman, Holy Cross Catholic Church, will conduct the funeral services. Charlie, a resident of Lafayette, was the son of the late “Jack” LeBlanc and the former Valentine Courville. Charlie was a man that loved many things, including Texas Longhorn cattle, the Dallas Cowboys, a good western, his John Deere tractors, the simple country life, but above all – his family. He started his career as a school teacher then furthered it with employment at BP-AMOCO as a field supervisor that took him to travel across the United States. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by Crain Brothers of Grand Chenier as a HR and Safety Coordinator. He was a proud member of the Texas Longhorn Breeders Association of America for many years and treasured the many friendships from that. He is survived by his loving wife, Luby Thomas LeBlanc; daughter, Adrienne LeBlanc ("Bubbie") Garber; grandson, Anderson Charles Garber; many nieces, nephews & cousins, that he loved dearly; brother, Lonny; and his three canine companions, Remy, Mezaire, and Henrí. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Arnold & L.G. LeBlanc. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home - Bertrand on Saturday, August 9, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The family extends a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Courtney DiNardo and her team at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston for her tireless efforts and compassion. Also, Dr. Steven Saccaro and his team from Ochsner Cancer Center of Acadiana. Finally, the St. Joseph Hospice Carpenter House for their exceptional care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital , or MD Anderson Cancer Center .
