Charlotte Anne Aucoin

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at 11:00 AM in the Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers - Bertrand for Chalotte Aucoin, 69, who passed away September 11, 2015. Reverend Gary Schexnayder, Pastor of St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church will celebrate the Mass. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Survivors include her husband of 51 1/2 years, Larry "OAK" Aucoin of Lafayette; daughters Lisa Aucoin Gary and husband Harry ; Leslie Aucoin Schexnaider and husband Chris, and one son Cody Aucoin; 6 grandchildren: Dylan, Ryan, and Kaylin Gary, Ethan Aucoin, Chloe and Brooke Schexnaider. She was preceded in death by her daughter Julie Marie Aucoin, son Christopher Chad "Bubba" Aucoin, parents, Zelian and Catherine Chapman Vidrine, sister, Louray Vidrine Brunet and brother, Davis Vidrine. The family will receive friends at Delhomme Funeral Home - Bertrand on Monday, September 14, 2015 from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM. A rosary will be prayed at 6:30 PM Monday evening. Visitation will continue on Tuesday at 8:00 AM until time of service. Pallbearers will be Cody Aucoin, Harry Gary, Chris Schexnaider, Dylan Gary, Ryan Gary, and Ethan Aucoin. Honorary pallbearers are Charlotte's nephew's Doug and Dexter Brunet and Mike and Jimmy Vidrine. She was employed by First National Bank for over 30 years and then worked part-time as a secretary at Executive House Suites. In her spare time, Charlotte loved reading, camping, and fishing with her family. She enjoyed working in her flower garden, dancing, especially to her favorite hits of Elvis and Rod Stewart, and spending time with her grandchildren. Mr. Larry "OAK" Aucoin and his children would like to thank the following organizations and people: Lafayette General Hospital LTAC nurses and staff; Hospice of Acadiana, Dr Michael Alexander for 34 years of loving care, Dr. Jason Breaux and Dr. John Martin; Members of the Southside Supper Club, Lester Duhon and members of the Retired Principals and Supervisors Club of Lafayette Parish; Toby Guidry of Global Safety Management, Executive House Staff especially Kieron, Kendall, J.R. and Melody, the administration and staff of Delta College and St. Martinville Sr. High School; AT&T of Pineville, and Charlotte's life-long friends Mike and Rita Kleinpeter, Ricky and Theresa Parrie, Keith and Jan Martin, Bob Adamson (who always made her smile) and his wife Buttons , Glen and Carol Fuselier, Linda Billeaudeaux, Rita LeDoux, Barbara Guillory and Houston Hebert.
