Chi V. Pham

Visitation will be held at Delhomme Funeral Home of Lafayette on Saturday, January 26, 2013 from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm and on Sunday from 8:00 am until 9:30 am for Chi V. Pham, MD, 52, who passed away on January 22, 2013 at 3:20 am at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center. Dr. Pham, a resident of Lafayette, LA, was the daughter of the late Tao Vu and Van Nguyen, both of Vietnam. She was born in Vung Tau, Vietnam in 1960 and moved to Evansville, IN with her family in 1975. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry and Biology with Summa Cumlaude Honors from the University of Evansville in Indiana. She graduated from Indiana University School of Medicine with an MD degree. She finished training in Indiana University School of Medicine and Medical Center Hospital in June 1989. She was certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. She moved to Lafayette in 1990 after working in Medical Group in Vincennes, Indiana for one year. She worked here in Lafayette for the Hamilton Group and then began her private practice which she had for 22 years. She was a loving mother and wife. She devoted much of her time to care for her patients in Lafayette. She loved and cared for patients very much. She also participated in medical missions in poor countries like Vietnam and Honduras to help the poor and sick people. Please respect our suffering family privacy due to the loss of our loved one. Please pray for her in your private prayers. She is survived by her mother, Van Nguyen of San Jose, CA; her husband of 31 years, Bau N. Pham of Lafayette, LA; one son, Bau "Nathan" Pham, Jr. of Los Angeles, CA; one niece, Nhu Pham of Lafayette, LA; one sister, Ann Doan of San Jose, CA; and five brothers, Thai Vu of Orange County, CA, Quang Vu of Irvine, CA, Thong Vu of Riverside, CA, John Vu of West Virginia and Thomas Vu of San Jose, CA. She was preceded in death by her father, and two daughters, Christine and Nina Pham. Memorial contributions can be made in the name of Dr. Pham to Hospice Compassus, 1438 S.
