Clovis Trahan

Funeral Services will be held at 2:30 PM Wednesday, March 7, 2007 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Milton for Clovis Trahan, 87, who passed away Monday, March 5, 2007 at his residence. Reverend William Gearheard, Pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church, will conduct funeral service. Interment will take place in St. Joseph Mausoleum. Mr. Trahan was a native of Maurice and a resident of Milton for the past 55 years. He was a farmer and worked at the lumberyard in Milton before retiring from the Lafayette Parish Government formerly the Lafayette Parish Police Jury with 15 years of service. Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Anne Lee Sellers Trahan; one daughter, Linda Faye Trahan Guilbeaux and son-in-law, Steve; one daughter-in-law, Gwendolyn Trahan Ewing; four grandchildren, Ricky Trahan, Selina Trahan Perry and her husband, Rickey, Nicole Guilbeaux Dupuis and her husband, Barry, and Andrea Guilbeaux Woods and her husband, Matt; seven great grandchildren, Shantell Davidson Peltier and her husband, Jeremy, Riana Trahan, Mistie Perry, Mitchell Perry, Gunnar Dupuis, Amanda Dupuis, and Baby Woods expected in July; one step great grandchild, Logan Comeaux; and one great great grandchild, Jace Peltier; two sisters, Effie Vincent, and Beulah Broussard. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Trahan and the former Adeline Duhon; one son, LeRoy Trahan; three brothers, Alphe, Alpheus and Joseph Trahan; and one sister, Leila Huval. The family requests that visiting hours be observed Tuesday from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM and continue Wednesday from 9:00 AM until the time of service. A rosary will be recited Tuesday at 7:15 P.M. in the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Ricky Trahan, Rickey Perry, Mitchell Perry, Jeremy Peltier, Matt Woods and Barry Dupuis. Honorary pallbearers will be Steve Guilbeaux, Gunnar Dupuis, Jace Peltier and Maurice Broussard, his only godchild. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Amedisys Home Health Services, Hospice of Acadiana (especially Jennifer, Jenne' and Rose) and friends and family members who have helped so much, especially Amie Denais.
