Daniel David Domingue

Danny Domingue of Lafayette, Louisiana took his place in Heaven August 5th, 2010 following a courageous fight against cancer for nearly seven years. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, August 07, 2010 in the parlor at Delhomme Funeral Home of Lafayette. Reverend Brad Sons, Associate Pastor of Family Life Church, will conduct the funeral services Entombment will take place in Sts. Peter and Paul Mausoleum. He is survived by his wife Danita Hayes Domingue and their four children; Duane D. Domingue and his wife Stacy along with their four children, Danielle D. Poyant and her husband Ben, Dustin A. Domingue and his wife Erica, and Dana D. Hebert and her husband Kelly along with their two children. He is also survived by his Mother; Mary Domingue, his sisters Debbie Webb, Liz Ardoin, Denice Murley, and his two brothers Eddie Domingue III, and Chris Domingue. He is preceded in death by his father Eddie Domingue Jr. and his youngest brother Ryan Domingue. Danny is best known for his services and contributions in both the coin operated business (Domingue Amusement & A&A Entertainment), as well as Engineering and Sales work in the oilfield industry (Turbo-Chem Internat'l) before falling ill. There's a great deal to be said about someone's character and their impact on others when all you need to say is that you are the son or daughter of Dan. He made an impact on everyone he met and leaves long lasting friendships. Not that the name is synonymous with that of a celebrity or political affiliation, just a hard working genuine man who wasn't afraid to strike up a conversation and understood the importance of treating all equally. A loving and caring husband, Dad, son, brother, brother in law, uncle, and friend to many; you walked your daughters down the aisle, played with your grandchildren, and showed us that you had way more than three months! You had found a new happy place on the leather seat of 'Perdu' your Road Star and again now ride in Heaven. We do not just miss you Dad, we love and thank you for keeping us together and making us stronger while looking forward to seeing you again. Visitation will be held at Delhomme Funeral Home of Lafayette on Friday from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm and will continue on Saturday from 9:00 am until the time of services. The family requests donations to Hospice of Acadiana, Inc. (2600 Johnston Street #200 Lafayette, LA 70503) in lieu of flowers. Delhomme Funeral Home of Lafayette, 1011 Bertrand Drive, Lafayette, is in charge of funeral arrangements.
