Deanie Harmon Beaugh

Deanie H. Beaugh, 84, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at 3:36 pm in her home surrounded by her entire family. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2014 at a 1:00 pm Mass of Christian Burial in Delhomme Funeral Home in Scott. Entombment will be held in Sts. Peter & Paul Mausoleum in Scott. Reverend O. Joseph Breaux, Pastor of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, will be the Celebrant of the Funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Giftbearers will be Kaleb Daigle, Kyle Daigle and Olivia Daigle. Readers will be Kyle Daigle, Abby Murphy and Kristina Lavergne. Deanie, a resident of Scott, LA, was the daughter of the late Arnold J. Harmon and Lena Guidry. Mrs. Beaugh resided in Church Point for most of her life, while raising her three children. She worked in the family business with her husband, Aaron, for 40 years. After retiring, she and Aaron moved to Scott to be closer to their children and grandchildren. Her favorite past times were traveling, knitting, crocheting and quilting; but her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Aaron P. Beaugh; two loving daughters, Rhonda Beaugh of Lafayette and Tina Beaugh of Scott; three grandchildren, Olivia Daigle and her husband Kurt Duplechin of Scott, Abby Murphy and husband Jeremy of Richard, and Kristina Lavergne and husband Corey of Duson; six great grandchildren, Kaleb Morgan and Kyle Mathieu Daigle, Emma Kate and Wyatt Scott Murphy, Karlee Elizabeth Cary, and McKenzie Danielle Lavergne. Deanie was preceded in death by her son, Paul "Bubba" Beaugh; two brothers, Willie and Gordon Harmon; and her parents, Arnold J. and Lena Guidry Harmon. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home in Scott on Friday, November 28, 2014 from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm. A Rosary will be prayed at 6:30 pm on Friday evening in the funeral home. Visiting hours will continue Saturday from 9:00 am until the time of service. Pallbearers will be Kaleb Daigle, Kyle Daigle, Jeremy Murphy, Corey Lavergne, Kurt Duplechin and Creighton Harmon.
