Delores Picard Faulk

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00am on Monday, January 29, 2018 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church for Mrs. Delores Picard Faulk, 83, who passed away on January 26, 2018 at the Heart Hospital of Lafayette. Fr. Paul Bienvenu, Pastor of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, will be Celebrant of the Mass and will conduct the funeral service with musical accompaniment by Tammy Maturin. Reading from scripture will be Andre' Faulk and Haley Maturin. Giftbearers will be Krystle Meaux, Jamie Guidry and Amanda Istre. Burial will take place in St. Alphonsus Mausoleum. Mrs. Delores, a resident of Maurice, was the daughter of the late Esson Picard and the former Lucille Trahan. Ms. Delores enjoyed getting together with her "Card Ladies" and playing Bourre' for hour on end. She was a devout Catholic, a Parishioner of St. Alphonsus and a member of the Ladies Alter Society. She spent countless hours volunteering in the library at Maurice Elementary, now Cecil Picard Elementary. Mrs. Faulk was a wonderful cook and enjoyed family gatherings. Her family cherished the time spent with her and she will be dearly missed. She is survived by children, Michael Faulk and wife Debra, Cindy Faulk Denais and husband Dale, Dexter Faulk and wife Denise; grandchildren, Krystle Meaux and husband Thomas, Scott Faulk, Jamie Guidry and husband Kyle, Amanda Istre and husband Jacob, Jared Denais, Andre' Faulk, Colin Faulk; niece, whom she considered a granddaughter, Haley Maturin; 5 great grandchildren and one expected in April; silbings, Kenneth Picard, and Phyllis Maturin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Jessie Faulk, parents, Esson and Lucille Picard; grandson, Corey Faulk. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home- Maurice on Sunday, January 28, 2018 from 4:00PM to 8:00PM. A Rosary will be recited at 6:00PM on Sunday evening in the funeral home. Visiting hours will continue on Monday from 8:00AM until the time of service. Pallbearers will be Scott Faulk, Jared Denais, Andre' Faulk, Colin Faulk, Thomas Meaux, Kyle Guidry and Jacob Istre.
