Donna Johnson LaBiche

Mrs. Donna Johnson LaBiche’ of Lafayette, LA passed away peacefully at L.G.M.C. on Friday, April 8, 2016 due to complications of pneumonia at the age of 68. Donna was a shining example of unconditional love and would light up the lives of everyone she touched. Her dazzling inner spirit radiated joy to everyone she met. It’s hard not to smile when she was near because of the joyfulness she brought to all. Her passions were religion, loving husband, family, cooking, music, dancing and animals. She was known as “Kat Lady” to many. Donna was born to parents Donald and Bernice (Bee) Johnson on October 20, 1947 in St. Louis, MO. She grew up the eldest of two sisters and attended South High School in Wichita, KS. On December 18, 1992 she married Harold J. LaBiche’ I and had six children between them. She attended Spencer Business College and later was employed as a pharmacy tech for Bill’s Prescription Shoppe until her retirement. Donna is survived by her husband, Harold J. LaBiche’ I, her daughter, Stefani Lemaire Vincent, her boy-friend Brian Polak of Tampa, FL., her five step-children Sandra LaBiche’ Latiolais, her husband Michael P. Latiolais, Patrice LaBiche’ Trahan, her husband Richard Trahan, Nadine LaBiche’ Granger, her husband Peter Granger, Edwina LaBiche’, Harold J. LaBiche’ II, his wife Cynthia Dugas LaBiche’, nine step-grandchildren, seven step-great-grandchildren and her cousin Dee Dee Haynes, who grew up like another sister.. She is preceded in death by her sister, Sharon Johnson Hernandez and step-grandson Ryan Granger. Her sister Sharon Johnson Hernandez is survived by husband, Lee Hernandez and two children, Tanya Hernandez Stanley, her husband Michael Stanley and four children, Courtney Hernandez James, her husband Donovan James and three children. Ryan Granger is survived by parents Peter and Nadine Granger, and two children. A visitation will be held at Delhomme Funeral Home on Bertrand Drive in Lafayette, LA on Tuesday April 12, 2016 between the hours of 10:00 AM and 9:00 PM. The family is extremely grateful for all condolences. A special service to remember and celebrate her life will take place at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 131 Sycamore Drive, Lafayette, LA 70506 on Saturday April 16, 2016 at 5:30 PM.
