Earline Campbell

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, January 16, 2025 in Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers for Earline Landry Campbell, 80, who passed away on January 14, 2025. Rev. Fr. David Hebert, Pastor of St. Elizabeth Seton Church, will conduct the funeral services. Entombment will take place in Calvary Mausoleum. Ms. Campbell, a resident of Carencro, was the daughter of the late Raphael Landry and the former Olive Gaspard. Born and raised in Youngsville, Earline was the Valedictorian of Youngsville High School, Class of 1962. She began her career at the Lafayette Sanitarium, which later became Ochsner Lafayette General, and retired with 50 plus years. Earline was an avid reader and loved cooking. She was frequently called upon to cater for weddings and parties for family & friends. She would even bake during Christmas time for her trashmen, postal workers, co-workers, and neighbors. Earline loved to travel, from bus tours to cruises, she was always up for a weekend getaway! She is survived by her daughters, Suzanne R. (John) Ward, Lisa R. (Tim) Marcell, and Amy R. (Chad) Fontenot; grandchildren, Andrew (Angie) Ward, Jade M. (Kory) Hernandez, Courtney M. (Adam) Smith, Benjamin Ward, Dylan (Brooke) Fontenot, Katelyn Ward, Noah Fontenot, and Aiden Marcell; nine great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Esther Landry Langlinais, Dianna Landry (Dennis) Paridon, and Sandra Landry (Michael) Neucere. She was preceded in death by her son, Edward Romero; her parents and her sister, Verna; and the father of her children, Henry Romero, Jr. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home - Bertrand on Thursday, January 16, 2025 beginning at 9:00 AM. A Rosary will be prayed at 11:00 AM on Thursday morning in the funeral home. Visiting hours will continue, following the Rosary, until the time of service. Pallbearers will be Andrew Ward, Kory Hernandez, Dylan Fontenot, Noah Fontenot, Aiden Marcell, and Adam Smith.
