Elizabeth Dian Davis

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, January 23, 2024 in Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church for Elizabeth Dian Davis, 85, who passed away on January 16, 2024. Fr. Michael Delcambre, Pastor of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, will be Celebrant of the Mass and will conduct the funeral services. The burial will take place in Lafayette Memorial Park. Mrs. Elizabeth, a resident of San Leon, TX, was the daughter of the late Charles Robert Pierce and Lena Marie Smith. She was an avid fisherwoman, who loved gardening, horseback riding, and travelling. Elizabeth loved spending time with her family and friends, especially drinking Community Coffee with them and watching the Saints. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her children, Yvonne Elizabeth Davis, Lena Marie Davis Puckett (Alan), Sylvia Davis Rivere, Milton Edward Davis (Rachelle), Paul Hershel Davis (Roxanne), and Wayne Thomas Davis (Justine); grandchildren, Jason Davis, Casey Renee Davis, Christopher Paul Breaux, Heidi Elizabeth Davis, Lacie Elizabeth Newell, Ollie Marie Lyons (Rodney), Jessica Puckett, Peter Charles Davis, William Paul Carter (Molly), Dusty James Davis (Candi), Brittney Nicole Davis, Ashleigh Robichaux, Joshua Smith, Lauren Garvey (Chris) and Erik Roddie (Katie); great-grandchildren, Landen Breaux, Elizabeth Hebert, Justice Davis, Lillith Lyons, Wrath and Athena Lyons, Gavin Nesbitt, Bronson Nesbitt, Lakeland Newell, Hunter Davis, Magnolia Carter, Layn Thomas Davis, Bowen Jude Davis, Wyatt Robichaux, Lakelyn Smith, Kyleigh Smith, Harper Garvey, and Wyatt Garvey; great-great-grandson, Dominic Sage Davis; stepdaughters, Sherry Davis and Millie Davis; and her favorite cousins, Donna Lee Carr ("baby sister") and Joann Thibodeaux. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lemuel Thomas Davis; son, Charles Robert Davis; grandchildren, Brandi Davis and Kristie Davis; step-son, Lemuel Thomas Davis, Jr.; parents, Charles Robert Pierce and Lena Marie Smith. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home - Bertrand on Monday, January 22, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A Rosary will be prayed at 6:30 PM on Monday evening in the funeral home. Visiting hours will continue Tuesday, January 23, 2024 from 8:00 AM - 12:15 PM. Pallbearers will be Milton Davis, Paul Davis, Wayne Davis, Dusty Davis, Christopher Breaux, and William Carter, with Peter Davis and Erik Roddie as honorary pallbearers.
