Eric Isidro Bienvenu

Eric Isidro Bienvenu, 18 years old, passed away Saturday morning, October 14, 2006 at his uncle's home in Broussard, La. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 18, 2006 at 2:00 pm at the Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers. Interment will take place at St. Michael's Cemetery in St. Martinville. Due to medical problems, Eric was not able to attend school on a regular basis. He was working toward his GED and planned to attend college in computers. Eric's main work objective in life was to become certified in the computer field. His skills included everything from building computers to program writing and installation. Eric did computer consultation for his clients. Eric's hobbies included miniature mechanics where he maintained and repaired his gas powered remote control truck. He also shared an interest with his father in ham radio. His favorite hang out was Judice Inn where he would always order hamburgers with extra onion and a large glass of water. He also frequented the Acadiana Mall where he would roll around the mall in his wheel chair and see his friends. While he got his exercise. Eric was also very interested in creative arts, as his mother Kathy had a degree in art. Together with his mother they would frequent art galleries and museums, which even included art viewing at Our Lady of Lourdes when he was an inpatient for nine weeks. His biggest love of all was for his creator, Jehovah God, and he said 'I'm the very happiest when I study the bible with his best friend Edgar'. He lived for the time when this earth would be filled with the knowledge he had acquired from the Bible. He loved life and lived it with intensity. Eric is survived by his mother, Kathleen P. Bienvenu and father, David A Bienvenu, both of Lafayette, La; grandmothers, Alice Scialdone of Gulfport, MS and Dorothy M. Bienvenu of Broussard, La; uncles, John O. Bienvenu of Wiggins, MS, William J. Bienvenu of Broussard, La, John Scialdone of Diamondhead, MS, Patrick Leblanc of Lafayette, La and Michael Piccionni of New Orleans, La; sisters, Paloma Reyes of Lafayette and Tamara Anglada of Gulfport, MS; aunts, Cynthia Bienvenu of Gulfport, MS, Jennifer LeBlanc of Lafayette, La and Maggie Danrather of Longbeach, MS; brother-in-laws, Byron Reyes of Lafayette, La and Mike Anglada; nephew, Sabastian Reyes of Lafayette, La and niece, Siera Fontenot of Gulfport, MS.
