Harris Laviolette

Funeral Services will be held at a 2:00 pm Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, October 26, 2012 at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church for Harris Joseph Laviolette, Sr., 70, who passed away on October 22, 2012 at 10:00 pm at Specialty Hospital in Carrollton, TX. Reverend Mario Romero, Associate Pastor of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, will be Celebrant of the Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Entombment will take place in Sts. Peter & Paul Cemetery. Mr. Laviolette, a resident of Duson, LA, was the son of the late Allen Paul Laviolette of Cecilia, Louisiana and the former Enola Dore of Breaux Bridge, Louisiana. Harris was employed by Frank C. Rogers Electrical Contractor for 35 years. He was a member of Camp Mad Dog #2. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved to hunt and fish. His favorite past time was raising horses and racing them. Harris was also a member of the Louisiana Horseman Association. He loved to listen to French music and was passionate about watching his grand kids play local football. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Aline Laviolette of Duson, LA; three daughters, Jodie L. Hebert and husband, Hank of Scott, LA, Sandra Laviolette of Lafayette, LA and Amy L. Lewis and husband Troy of Lafayette; one son, Harris J. Laviolette, Jr. of Duson, LA; ten grandchildren, Tyler Hebert, Benji Hebert, Elliot Hebert, Dustin Laviolette, Trey Leger, Brittany Leger, Gretchyn Hebert, Magen Hebert, Taylor Lewis, and Cael Lewis; three great grandchildren, Brynn Hebert, Sophie Hebert, and Shayna Hebert; seven sisters, Mildred Bourque, Grace Bourque, Jo Ann LeBlanc, Shirley Guidry, Cynthia Bertrand, Geraldine Trahan, and Loretta Ducharme; and two brothers, Melvin and Harold Laviolette. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Noelie Laviolette and one brother Charles Laviolette. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home of Scott Thursday, October 25, 2012 from 11:00 am until 9:00 pm and on Friday from 9:00 am until the time of service. A rosary will be recited at 6:00 pm Thursday evening in the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Tyler Hebert, Benji Hebert, Dustin Laviolette, Elliot Hebert, Trey Leger, Travis Brasseaux, and Allen Bourque.
