J. C. Primeaux

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 in Delhomme Funeral Home - Maurice for J.C. Primeaux, 68, who passed away on December 29, 2023. Deacon Bill Vincent will conduct the funeral services. The burial will take place in Abshire Cemetery, Kaplan. J.C. loved and made his family priority. He deeply cherished his wife, together for over 48 years. He admittedly had a unique way of expressing his love, but did so up until his last moments. J.C. was extremely proud of his family. He saw each and every one of his families’ accomplishments and accepted them with pride, boasting every chance he got. The pride he had for his grandchildren was always easy to see. When it came to his sons, he always fought and was a strong advocate of keeping his sons close, which was something that he never had being he was brought up in foster care. Although J.C and Debra had no daughters, ultimately they did. Each of their sons wives were loved as their own. He was always ready with a helping hand for family and friends. He was a wealth of knowledge when it came to working on vehicles and construction, and pretty much anything else. J.C. would much rather go without, so that he could help others that were in need. As an avid fisherman, J.C. loved being on the water catching fish, shrimp and crabs. He always made sure there was enough seafood to go around to his 6 sons and their families’. His passion was raising cattle. He treated his cattle like pets and was always proud to show off his livestock to others. J.C. loved to have a good time. To dance and to laugh; he had a sense of humor filled with sarcastic comebacks and innuendos. We truly never knew what would come out of his mouth. For those of us that were in his circle, he will be greatly missed. He has passed on his knowledge to anyone who could see the value in it. He will be forever missed. J.C., a resident of Maurice, was the son of the late Victor Primeaux and the former Dorothy Howard. He is survived by his wife, Debra Primeaux; sons, Christopher (Erika) Primeaux, Nicholas (Jenny) Primeaux, Zachary (Jessica) Primeaux, Gregory (Megan) Primeaux, Jonathan (Katlyn) Primeaux, and Jacob (Shawna) Primeaux; 15 grandchildren, Carley, Nicholas, Jr., Ashton, Noah, Emma, Emmett, Beckett, Christa, Kimber, Whitley, Mila, Mikah, Tanner, Paige, and Alexander; sisters, Johnny (Edward) Hardy, Ann White, Mary (John) Martin, and Victoria Primeaux. He was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings, Lurcy Primeaux, Percy Primeaux, Dorothy Deal, Shirley Harrington, John Wayne Jordan, J.B. Primeaux, and Wesley Primeaux The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home - Maurice on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
