Funeral Services will be held at a Mass of Christian Burial at 1:30 pm on Monday, December 3, 2012 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church for Jane Guidry Menard, 69, who passed away on November 30, 2012 at 2:35 am at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center. Reverend O. Joseph Breaux, Pastor of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, will be Celebrant of the Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Readers for the service will be Janice Menard and Donna Stanley. Giftbearers will be her grandchildren, Sommer Trahan and Austin Girouard. Burial will take place in St. Alphonsus Cemetery. Her grandson Austin Girouard and Connor Frederick will play the trumpet at the graveside. Mrs. Menard, a resident of Lafayette, LA, was the daughter of the late Thomas Guidry of Broussard, Louisiana and the former Bernice Talbot of Lafayette, Louisiana. She was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church. She is survived by her three daughters; Christine Falcon and husband John of Duson, LA, Melissa Girouard and husband Don of Scott, LA and Tammy Trahan and husband Chris of Lafayette, LA; eight grandchildren, April D. Diaz and her husband Corey, Dwayne "T-Doo" Dore, Jr., Austin Girouard, Sommer Trahan, Dustin Girouard, Devin Trahan, Caitlyn Falcon and Kurt Falcon; her great grandson, Connor D. Diaz; her sister, Sandra G. Dahl of Broussard, LA; her son-in-law, Don Harry Girouard of Scott, LA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester J. Menard; her daughter, Pamela Menard; two sons, Lester Menard, Jr. and Ryan Paul Menard; her sister Shirley Guilbeau and her parents. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home of Maurice on Monday, December 3, 2012 from 9:00 am until time of service. A rosary will be prayed Monday at 11:00 am in the funeral home. Pallbearers will be John Falcon, Don Girouard, Austin Girouard, Edward Dahl, Dwayne "T-Doo" Dore' Jr., and Glenn Menard. Honorary Pallbearers will be Chris Trahan, April Diaz, Corey Diaz, Connor Diaz, Sommer Trahan, Devin Trahan and Dustin Girouard.
