Jean Francis Rodrigue

Funeral Services will be held at a 10:00 am Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, May 11, 2009 at Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers for Jean Francis Rodrigue, 77, who passed away on May 9, 2009 at 3:37 am at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center. Reverend Jimmy Leblanc, Pastor of The Church of The Incarnation, will be Celebrant of the Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Entombment will take place in Calvary Cemetery. Mrs. Rodrigue, a resident of Carencro, Louisiana, was the daughter of the late Joseph Arnold Culley of Nashville, Tennessee and the former Nellie Reynolds of Nashville, Tennessee. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church. She is survived by her three children, Bennett F. Rodriguez and Amanda Broussard and family, Bernadette Woodland and family, and Dennett "Bear" Rodrigue and his wife, Dawn C. Rodrigue; numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; her three nieces, Liz Hingle and family, Cindy Guillory and her husband, Allen and family and Paula Turner; her best friend, Kathleen Barker and family. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Nellie and Joseph Culley, her loving husband Cecil Benny Rodrigue, and her sister Jaqueline Turner. The family extends special thanks to Evangeline Oaks Nursing Home and staff and Blackie, and Hospice of Acadiana. Dennett would like to say a special thanks to His Recovery Support Family. An extra special thanks to Cindy Guillory and Paula Turner, two angels sent to Dennett by God in his most darkest hours. They gave Dennett the light to see the path when it seemed impossible. Thank you both. Jean was a loving wife, mother and best friend. She had a passion for living life to the fullest, never too busy to care, love and nurture any one and every one. She was a Fashion Two Twenty Representative for years, then became business manager for her husband as they both trudged the world together. She will be deeply missed, but never forgotten. We will always love and cherish all she did for us all. Thanks Jean. The family requests that visiting hours be observed on Sunday, May 10, 2009 from 5:00 pm until 10:00 pm and on Monday 8:00 am until the time of services. A rosary was held at 7:00 pm on Sunday evening at Delhomme Funeral Home of Lafayette in Lafayette. Pallbearers will be Bennett Rodriguez, Dennett "Bear" Rodrigue, Toby Rodrigue, Daniel Rodriguez, Phillip Broom and Michael Barker. Honorary Pallbearers will be Peyton Rodriguez, Bryson Rodrigue, Benjamin Tullier, Thomas Barker, Frank van der Palen.
