A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Lafayette, LA for Jeannine Elouise LeBlanc, 74, who passed away on June 1, 2013 at 10:30 am at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette, LA. Reverend Steve LeBlanc Pastor of St. Pius X Catholic Church will be the Celebrant of the Mass and Reverend Donald C. Theriot will concelebrate. Burial will take place in Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church Cemetery in Broussard, LA. Mrs. LeBlanc, a life-long resident of Lafayette, was the daughter of the late Roger Bernard and the late former Ethel Barnhill. She graduated from Mount Carmel High School, and attended U.S.L. for two years studying English and History. She loved reading history and following politics. Jeannine was a devout Catholic and had a great spiritual life. She loved her husband and family dearly, and was loved by all. She loved her patio with beautiful flowers and birds which she fed. She loved country music and her Catholic music. She is survived by her husband of fifty three years, Charles Edward LeBlanc; her children, Arlene Lockwood and her husband Deacon Jim Lockwood, Caroline Blewer and her husband Edwin L. Blewer, III, Michael Edward LeBlanc and his wife Michelle, and David Charles LeBlanc; her grandchildren, Desiree LeBlanc and Nicholas LeBlanc, Matthew Moses, Ben LeBlanc, Daniel and Robert Blewer; longtime friend of the family Charlotte` S. Ball; her sisters, Irma "Pookie" Gonzalez, and Ruthie Phillips; her brothers, Donald Bernard, James Bernard, Dr. Gordon Bernard, and Kevin Bernard. She was preceded in death by her sister, Rosemary Groves, and her brothers, Phil and Michael Bernard. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home 1011 Bertrand Dr. Lafayette, LA on Monday, June 3, 2013 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. A Rosary will be recited on Monday, June 3, 2013 at 6:00 pm in the funeral home. The family requests that there will be no visiting hours on Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at the funeral home. The family will gather at 10:45 am on Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at St Pius X Catholic Church. Honorary Pallbearers are Thomas Billeaud, Charles Morvant, Billy Miller, and Charlotte` S. Ball.
