Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 PM on Friday, September 22, 2023 in Delhomme Funeral Home - Chapel of the Flowers for Jessica Crouch Venable, 41, who passed away peacefully on September 17, 2023, surrounded by her loving family and two dogs, Shelby & Leroy. Pastor Chris Fuselier, First Baptist Church of Youngsville, will conduct the funeral services. Burial will take place in Fountain Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Jessica, a resident of Lafayette, was the daughter of Kenneth Crouch and Katie LeBlanc. Jessica graduated from the Academy of the Sacred Heart and Tulane University both of New Orleans, LA. Though Jessica worked for many years in the service industry, she was never happier than when she returned to Lafayette and worked beside her father in his business. Jessica loved the beach, country music, dancing, and travelling. During an evening out with friends, she used her talent for making everyone smile and enticed a tall, handsome man to dance. She started a beautiful life with him, adding to one son with the birth of three more boys, each as handsome as their dad and as outgoing as their mother. Jessica was lucky to have the most wonderful group of friends. She maintained high school friendships, neighborhood friendships, church and Pokeno groups, as well as her large extended family. As Jessica leaned on her faith throughout the entire fight, she was an inspiration to all she encountered through her resilience as she battled breast cancer. She is survived by her husband of 9 years, Mitchell Lee Venable; sons, Tristan Lee Venable, Jaxson Jacob Venable, Owen Mitchell Venable, and Callan Joseph Venable; parents, Kenneth Wayne Crouch (Michelle) and Katie LeBlanc Trahan (Michael); brother, Casey Adam Crouch; step-sister, Katherine Trahan; nieces, Elizabeth and Anna Crouch; nephews, Adam and John Thomas Crouch; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her brother, Jacob Johnson Crouch. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home - Chapel of the Flowers on Friday, September 22, 2023 beginning at 9:00 AM. A Rosary will be prayed at 11:00 AM on Friday morning in the funeral home parlor. Visitation will continue, following the Rosary, until the time of service. Pallbearers will be Bailey Bobbitt, Adam Crouch, Casey Crouch, Ryan Griffin, Jaiden Tabb, and Tristan Venable In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Jacob Crouch Foundation , or the charity of your choice, in memory of Jessica.
