John David DeLouche

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Friday, January 4, 2008 in the Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers for John David Delouche, 38, who passed away Sunday, December 30, 2007 in Iberville Parish. Reverend Gary Schexnayder, Pastor of St. Michael the Archangel Church in Crowley, will be Celebrant of the Mass and will conduct the funeral services. John was born in Washington D.C. and was a long time resident of Lafayette, Louisiana. He was a graduate of Acadiana High School and received a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from U.L.L. John was recently employed with C.W. Technical Services in Lafayette and was looking forward to a long prosperous career as a coatings program manager. John was previously employed with E-Z Biz, Piggly Wiggly, and Deano's all in Lafayette. John was an outgoing, laidback person whose love for the outdoors was as strong as his love for his family and friends. A passionate outdoorsman, John enjoyed all the seasons hunting, fishing, and camping with his father. His hobbies also included playing volleyball, cooking, spending time with his nephews, his family and friends, and watching sporting events live or on television. Most will remember John as a person who was willing to give a helping hand and a person who never met a stranger. John loved life and tried to live everyday to the fullest. Those who knew him loved him. John was loved by his family, friends, and the community. He will be sadly missed by all. He is survived by his father, Cliff E. DeLouche; his mother, Darlene M. Marr; his stepfather, Robert Owens; two sisters, Renee Lynn DeLouche of Lafayette, and Darlene Kimberly DeLouche-Cox and her husband, Charles Cox of Baton Rouge; two nephews, Evan and Christopher Cox; and his maternal grandmother, Marie Marr of Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Cliff DeLouche and Frances Daricek; his maternal grandfather, John Marr; and three cousins, Michael White, Don White, and Jennifer Marr. The family requests that visiting hours be observed on Thursday from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm and continue on Friday from 8:00 am until the time of services.
