John Henry Hebert

Funeral Services will be held at a 4:00 pm Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church for John Henry Hebert, 56, who passed away on May 30, 2010 at 8:27 pm at his residence. Reverend Keith Landry, Pastor of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Broussard, will be the Celebrant of the Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Burial will take place in Sacred Heart Mausoleum in Broussard. Mr. Hebert, a resident of Broussard, LA, was the son of the late Ellis Hebert of Broussard, Louisiana and the former Eunice Viator of Broussard, Louisiana. He was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church. He was an avid fisherman, pool player and bowler, but his greatest love of these was fishing, whether it was with his uncle Milton, or his companion, Lou Savoy. He was a member of both the R.C. Riders Club and Hub City Riders Club. He loved spending time with his nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. He was a wonderful son, brother, uncle, and friend. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his mother, Eunice Viator Hebert of Broussard; one brother, James L. Hebert and his wife Judy of Milton; three sisters, Linda Menard of Abbeville, Donna Picard of Broussard and Mary Hebert of Broussard; his companion, Lou Savoy of Toledo Bend; one niece and six nephews; three great nieces and three great nephews; his best buddy and nephew, Austin Hebert. He was preceded in death by his father, Ellis Hebert. Visiting hours were observed at Delhomme Funeral Home of Broussard Monday, May 31, 2010 from 3:00 pm until 10:00 pm and will continue today from 9:00 am until the time of services. A rosary was recited at the funeral home Monday evening at 7:00 pm. Pallbearers will be James Hebert, Lloyd Hebert, Jeffrey Hebert, Kyle Hebert, Derek Picard, John Touchet, and Austin Hebert.
