Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 PM on Thursday, January 30, 2025 in Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers for Jordan Alexander Simon, 44, who passed away tragically and unexpectedly on January 26, 2025. Jacob Aranza, Senior Pastor of Our Savior's Church, will conduct the funeral services. Jordan, a resident of Maurice, was the son of Norman Eddie Parkman and Suzette Y. Simon. Born in Shreveport and raised in Lafayette, Jordan was a 1998 graduate of Lafayette High School. He began his career as a landman at Petro Land Resources, but quickly went out on his own starting Iconic Resources and then Dynamic Royalties. Jordan loved the "Art of the Deal" and "Getting Ink". Jordan loved all sports, but especially basketball and football; he was a LSU and Saints football fanatic. A true dog lover, Jordan treated them as his babies. Above all though, Bryson, his son, was Jordan's world. He adored every moment they had together from playing sports to riding go-karts. Jordan expressed his love for his son all the time! He is survived by his loving wife and companion of 5 years, Stephanie Vincent Simon; his son, Bryson A. Simon; his parents; his siblings, Nicholas R. (Bridget) Simon, Sandy Parkman, Stephanie P. Bridges, Brooke Parkman, and Norman "Tripp" Parkman; and his best friend & "brother", Timothy Buteaux. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother who helped raise him, Mary Fern Cobbs Simon Briggs and her husband, Gene, Jordan's "Poppa". He was also preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, J. Minos Simon, Sr; his paternal grandparents, Norman "Cat" Parkman & Mary Helen Woods Parkman; and his step-father, Ronald A. Tardo. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home - Bertrand on Thursday, January 30, 2025 from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Serving ceremoniously as pallbearers will be Bryson Simon, Nicholas Simon, Clé Simon, Quentin Simon, Timothy Buteaux, and Michael Cobb.
