Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, April 27, 2012 in the Delhomme Funeral Home of Scott for Laura LeBlanc, 87, who passed away on April 24, 2012 at 12:35 pm at Abbeville General Hospital. Reverend Mario P. Romero, Associate Pastor of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, will conduct the funeral services. Burial will take place in Sts. Peter & Paul Cemetery. Mrs. LeBlanc, a resident of Lafayette, LA, was the daughter of the late Hazard LeBlanc of Lafayette Parish, Louisiana and the former Elia Boudreaux of Delcambre, Louisiana. She was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Church. Before retiring, Laura was employed by the Lafayette Parish School System. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and traveling. She is survived by her husband, Fidney Trahan, two daughters; Barbara Duhon of Lafayette, LA and Jane Baudoin and husband Bobby of Judice community; one son, Jerry Domingue and wife Ginger of Lafayette, LA; two step daughters, Ginger Adams and Brenda Girouard; two step sons, David Trahan and Stanley Trahan; eleven grandchildren, Vickie Badeaux, Dale Duhon, Angie Zukywich, Annette Flanagan, Richard Duhon, Tina Guidry, Darla Lanie, Danielle Baudoin, Jamie Domingue, Colby Domingue, Courtney Landreneau; several great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; one niece Ruby LeBlanc and three nephews, Donald LeBlanc, Dwight LeBlanc and Jerome LeBlanc,Jr. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers; Udley LeBlanc, Etienne LeBlanc and Jerome LeBlanc, Sr. and one step son, Michael Trahan. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home of Scott on Thursday, April 26, 2012 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and will continue Friday from 8:00 am to time of services. A rosary will be recited at 6:30 pm Thursday evening in the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Dale Duhon, Richard Duhon, Ryan Duhon, Colby Domingue, Jamie Domingue, Trent Guidry and Chaz Duhon-LeBlanc . Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Baudoin, Al Lanie, Jr., Jeremy and Tyler Badeaux and Quintin Zukywich. The family would like to give special regards to Maison du Monde in Abbeville and Abbeville General Hospital for their excellent care.
