A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 in St. Alphonsus Catholic Church - Maurice for Lea Corbello Alexander, 99, who passed away on March 7, 2025. Reverend Paul Bienvenu, Pastor, will be Celebrant of the Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Burial will take place in St. Alphonsus Mausoleum. Lea had a rare gift for bringing beauty into every aspect of life. Whether she was thoughtfully decorating her home for each season, carefully arranging flowers, or adding special touches to family gatherings, she found joy in creating warmth and elegance. She had a timeless sense of style and was always dressed up, no matter the occasion. Her grace and attention to detail reflected the same care she put into the people and places she loved. She lived with an open heart and a welcoming spirit, cherishing every moment spent with loved ones. Whether hosting lively family gatherings or enjoying quiet conversations on the porch, she found her greatest happiness in the presence of those she loved. Her faith was a guiding light in her life. After moving to Maurice, she quickly embraced St. Alphonsus as her spiritual home. Lea’s love and kindness will continue to bloom in the spaces she touched and the hearts she filled. Lea, a resident of Lafayette, was the daughter of the late Jim Corbello and the former Rosie Daigle. She is survived by her children, John William Alexander, Mark Thomas Alexander and wife, Johnnie, and Michael Alexander and wife, June; grandchildren, Jennifer McIntire, Kaitlin (Winston) Rice, Mark Thomas Alexander, Jr. (Ashley); Carly Alexander, Carrie (Ryan) Dugas, Mollie (Randy) McAlister, Grace (Brett) Heil, Michael (Amale)Reese, Chris Reese, and Chad Reese; 16 great grandchildren, and son in law, Mike Reese. She was preceded in death by her parents; spouse, John William "Bill" Alexander; daughter, Mary Reese; sister, Carolyn (Glen) Craig, and brother, Walter (Nellie) Corbello. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home - Maurice on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM. Honoring Lea as pallbearers will be Mark Alexander Jr., Ryan Dugas, Randy McAlister, Brett Heil, Michael Reese Jr., and Chris Reese.
