Linda Clark Stevens

Funeral services will be held at a 10:00 am Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, February 22, 2008 at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church for Linda Clark Stevens, 60, who passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2008 at her residence. Reverend Martin Borcherding, Pastor of St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church, will be Celebrant of the Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Interment will be held in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Stevens, a native of Maurice and a resident of Lafayette, was the daughter of the late Esson Clark and the former Ione Landry both of Vermilion Parish. Linda was an active member of St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church, where she served as a Eucharistic Minister, a member of the St. Elizabeth Rosary Group, and the 11:15 am choir. Linda had a strong faith and served wherever she was needed. Linda previously worked as a caregiver for the elderly and as a ward clerk at Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center. Linda is survived by her husband of 38 years, Lenard 'Len' Stevens of Lafayette; one daughter, Lori Ann Stevens and her companion, Jeffery Franks of Lafayette; one son, John Robert Stevens and his wife, Karen of Maurice; one granddaughter, Korianna Ray'ne Jones of Riverview, Florida and her father, James Jones; one grandson, Cade Robert Stevens of Maurice; her mother, Ione Clark of Maurice; three brothers, Warren Clark and his wife, Marcia of Maurice, Michael Clark and his wife, Kathleen of Cecilia, and Phillip Clark and his wife, Lisa of Maurice; one sister, Phyllis Clark of Maurice; one brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jimmy and Mary Ann Draper of Keithville, Louisiana; several nieces and nephews; and her sisterhood friend, Gloria Domingue. Linda was preceded in death by her father, Esson Clark; one brother, Allen Ray Clark; and her grandparents. The family requests that visiting hours be observed on Thursday from 11:00 am until 9:00 pm and continue Friday from 8:00 am until the time of service. A rosary will be recited at 6:30 pm on Thursday in the funeral home. Pallbearers will be her brothers, Warren Clark, Michael Clark, and Phillip Clark, her sister, Phyllis Clark; and her nephews, Kylie Clark, Blaine Clark, and Torrey Clark.
