Marie Thibodeaux

Funeral services will be held at a 10:00 am Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, September 14, 2006 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Broussard for Marie Thibodeaux, 84, who passed away Tuesday, September 12, 2006 at Lafayette General Medical Center Hospital. Interment will take place at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Broussard. Rev. Peter Emusa, Assistant Pastor of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Broussard will be Celebrant of the Mass and conduct the services. Mrs. Thibodeaux, was the daughter of the late John Garcia and the former Josephine Roseberry. She attended La Belle Maison Senior Citizens Group in Broussard. She was affectionately known as Maw Maw. Her beautiful smile, courage, patience, and most important her unconditional love will be missed by all those whose lives she touched. Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Adam Thibodeaux of Broussard; three daughters, Mary Ann Mouton and husband, Larry J., of Lafayette, La, Bernice Guillotte of Lafayette, La and Aline Menard and husband, Danny of Broussard, La; three sons, Harold Thibodeaux and wife, Cheryl, of Burlingame, California, Philip Thibodeaux and wife, Gail of Broussard, La and Adam J. Thibodeaux and wife, Gladys of Lafayette, La; sixteen Grandchildren; three Great-Grandchildren; two sisters, Marie Viator of Broussard, La and Margaret Smith of Lafayette, La; three brothers, Thomas Garcia of Virginia, Roy Garcia of Broussard, La and Henry Garcia of Butte Larose, La. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Bill Garcia. Special thanks and appreciation to Dr. Luis Meza and the wonderful staff at Southwest Oncology Associates for the care given. Visiting hours will be observed on Wednesday from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm and will continue on Thursday from 8:00 am until the time of service. A rosary will be prayed Wednesday at 7:00 pm in the funeral home in Broussard. Pallbearers will be Mark Mouton, Jeffrey Mouton, Dominic Thibodeaux, Jonathan Thibodeaux, Steven Thibodeaux and Ryne Menard. Honorary Pallbearers will be David Thibodeaux, Christopher Thibodeaux, Sarah Thibodeaux, Kent Benoit, Keith Benoit, Jesse Thibodeaux, Joseph Thibodeaux, Dwight Thibodeaux, Annette Guidry and Katie Guilliotte.
