Mary Jane Hebert

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:30 PM on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 in Sts. Peter and Paul Church - Scott for Mary Jane Menard Hebert, who passed away on August 12, 2018 after a long and courageous battle with breast cancer. Burial will take place in Sts. Peter and Paul Mausoleum - Scott. Born in 1948, Mary graduated from Carencro High School in 1966 and attended the University of Southwestern Louisiana majoring in computer science which allowed her a long and successful career in computer management from which she was recently retired. She was a dedicated member of Sts. Peter and Paul Church in Scott and was a member of the church choir. Mary loved cooking and organizing family gatherings. She was a friend to all and would lend a helping hand whenever needed. She had a whimsical love of hats of all shapes and sizes and had one for all occasions. She was a bright, generous woman with a lovely sense of humor and will be greatly missed. Mary, a resident of Youngsville and lifelong resident of the Lafayette area, was the daughter of the late Francis Menard and the former Rita Sonnier. She is survived by her loving companion and husband of 27 years, Ronald Hebert, her dedicated daughter, Carolyn McBride Boulware, granddaughter, Brittany McBride Thomassee, grandsons, Carl J. Chargois, Jr., Jacobi and Isaiah Boulware, and great grandchildren, Thailan, Lawson, and Braxton Thomassee. Additionally, she is survived by her siblings, Francis Lynn Menard, Leland Menard, Sandra Thibodeaux, Rita Faye Hilbert, Randy L. Menard, Linda Menard and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home of Scott on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 from 10:30 AM to 9:00 PM. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM on Tuesday evening in the funeral home. Visiting hours will continue on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Pallbearers will be Lynn Menard, Leland Menard, Randy L. Menard, Merlin McBride, David Daspit and Carl J.
