Neda Hebert Robinson

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM, Tuesday, May 24, 2015 in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Milton, LA for Neda Hebert Robinson, 91. Reverend Bryce Sibley, Pastor, Our Lady of Wisdom Catholic Church will conduct funeral services. Burial will take place in St. Joseph Cemetery. Neda Hebert Robinson, affectionately known as “WoWo”, a resident of Lafayette, Louisiana, for over 70 years was born on March 18, 1925 in Milton, Louisiana and peacefully passed on May 21, 2016 surrounded by her family. She was the 9th child and youngest daughter of Edvard and Lydia Vincent Hebert, residents of Milton, LA. Neda was beautiful, easy-going, kind, and a gracious woman who was devoted to her faith, family and friends. She remained true to her one and only love, Don E. Robinson, Sr., who passed away in July 1976. Their marriage was short, but beautiful and she often reminisced about her loving husband spending endless hours reading the hundreds of cards and letters he sent during their time together. She loved her husband, children, grandchildren, family and friends, especially those close to her in Mouton Gardens, the neighborhood where she lived for 60 years. She is survived by her children, Don E. Robinson, Jr., Richard D. Robinson, Lisa G. Robinson, and Donna R. Cummins (Shawn) of Lafayette, LA; five grandchildren, Thomas Cummins, William Cummins, Austin Robinson, Amanda and Ali Robinson; three brothers, Jules Vincent Hebert, Pierre Long Hebert and Edvard Hebert, Jr. of Milton, LA and a host of loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Don E. Robinson, Sr.; her parents; three sisters, Una Hebert, Marion Hebert and Martha Robichaux; four brothers, Clarence Hebert, Preston Hebert, Dalton Hebert and Francis Hebert. Our deepest gratitude to our loving sister, Lisa Grace Robinson for the many years of love, care, joy and laughter she provided our Mother. Special thanks and blessing to Dorothy Mims, for her dedicated Eucharistic Ministry; Lauren Stutes and Tricia Mouton and the entire staff at Hospice Compassus for their dedicated care and support. Pallbearers will be, Don Robinson, Richard Robinson, Shawn Cummins Thomas Cummins, William Cummins, and Austin Robinson. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Milton, LA on May 24, 2016 from 8:30 am until 10:30 am when a Christian Mass will commence. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of our beloved Mother to Our Lady of Wisdom Evangelization of Students, 501 East St. Mary Blvd. Lafayette, LA 70503.
