Nola Broussard

It was with heavy hearts that the family of Nola Denais Broussard announces her passing on Monday, October 27, 2014, at her residence with her loving family by her side. Born February 13, 1915, she was 99 years old. A Mass of Christian Burial in her honor will be held on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at 3:00 PM in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Milton. Reverend William Schambough, will be the Celebrant of the Funeral Mass, with the assistance of Deacon Cody Miller. She will be laid to rest in St. Joseph Catholic Church Mausoleum. Nola was a retired postmaster in Milton, where she worked for a total of 40 years and was a member of the St. Joseph's Ladies Altar Society. Most of all, she was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, godmother, aunt and friend and spending time with everyone who knew her meant a great deal of joy to her. She will be sadly missed, but will be joyfully remembered by her daughter, Jacquelyn Anne Broussard Albert and her husband Ernest of Milton; her three sons, Paul Bennett Broussard of Milton, Glenn Joe Broussard of Fairfax, VA and George William Broussard of Milton. She also leaves behind twelve grandchildren; twenty-four great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Simeon Broussard, Jr.; her parents, Aymar Denais, Sr. and the former Blanche Hebert; two sisters, Lola Denais Bell and Rosa Denais Broussard; three brothers, Aymar Denais, Jr., Rapheal Denais and George Denais; and her daughter-in-law, Kathleen Broussard. Pallbearers will be Tim Albert, Tony Albert, Charlie Albert, Stacey Albert, Steven Broussard and Scott Broussard. Mass readings will be recited by Roxanne Trahan and Denise Denais. Natalie Broussard, along with her mother, Yvette, on the organ, will perform the musical selections during the Funeral Mass. Serenity Broussard, Chelsea Trahan, Julia Albert and Madison Broussard will be the gift bearers. At the request of the family, visitation will be held in Delhomme Funeral Home in Maurice on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM, with a rosary prayed at 7:00 PM. Visitation will continue on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 from 8:00 AM until the time of service. Her children would like to extend a special note of gratitude to Lena Yoder, who took great care of their mother during her time of need; her thoughtfulness was deeply appreciated and will never be forgotten.
