Nolan J. Breaux

A Liturgy of the Word will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, October 3, 2022 in Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers for Nolan Junior Breaux, 80, who passed away on September 29, 2022. Fr. Steve Leblanc will conduct the funeral services. Burial will take place in Holy Mary Mother of God Cemetery. The family will be hosting a Celebration of Life, immediately following the burial, in the Delhomme Reception Hall – Lafayette (directly behind the funeral home). Nolan was born in Abbeville, Louisiana. Nolan graduated from Berwick High School and then went to Nichols State. He served four years as an Airman 1st Class in the Air Force at Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, MS with tours in Alaska & Thailand before residing in Lafayette, LA. Nolan pursued a career in credit and finance serving as credit & collections manager at Ace Transportation for twenty years. Nolan retired in 2008, spending his retirement at the family camp in Toledo Bend and traveling with his wife. Nolan is survived by his wife of 32 years, Carol Cooper Breaux; daughters, Dawn Breaux and Angela Breaux Noel (Spencer); grand-daughters, Kylie Robicheaux (Tony) and Annsleigh Noel; grandson, Kaleb Noel; stepson, Robert Cooper (Jessica); step-grandson, Richard Cash Cooper; step-granddaughter, Sophia Cooper; sister, Diane Meaux (Tony); and brothers, Robbie Breaux (Mary) and David Breaux (Holly). He was preceded in death by his parents, P. Dewey and Lovenia Breaux; and brother, Barry Breaux. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home - Bertrand on Sunday, October 2, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A Rosary will be prayed at 6:00 PM on Sunday evening in the funeral home. Visiting hours will continue on Monday, October 3, 2022 from 8:00 AM until the time of service. Pallbearers will be David Breaux, Robbie Breaux, Kaleb Noel, Spencer Noel, Robert Cooper, and Kevin Breaux. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ferris Habbit, R. Cash Cooper, and Tony Meaux The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Bradley Chastant II and Nolan's nurses on the sixth floor of Oschner Lafayette General Medical Center.
