Patricia Ann Hockett

Patricia Ann "Patty" Hockett, 74, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 25, 2014, surrounded by family at her home in Duson. She was a native of Eunice and lived most of her adult life in Lafayette then Hammond, before settling back in Acadiana. She had a flare for fashion and many may remember her clothing boutique, Pitty Pat's Fashions, which was located in Fiesta Village. She enjoyed live music, dancing, a good margarita and her red wine. She loved her Saturday morning boudin, spending time and caring for her family and gardening, especially tending to her tomato plants. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend, who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by three children, Lara Robert Prejean and his wife Sandra Epperson Prejean, Leslie Prejean Krieg and her husband Robert Krieg and Brandon David Prejean; grandchildren, Angelique Nichole Delaney, Ashley Natasha Delaney, Amanda Noelle Delaney, Jacob Patrick Hebert, Jeana Marie Guillory, Jaclynn Jane Prejean, Brandon David Prejean, Jr., Ethan Beaux Prejean, Peyton Bella Ann Prejean, Lucas Blaine Prejean, Nathan David Guillory and Tyler Michael Prejean; great grandchildren, Skyla Elizabeth Mire, Bryson Krieg Mire, Alyssa Elizabeth Ann Mire, Gavyn Gordon Patrick Delaney, Arimya Noelle Delaney and Kane Christopher Marko; and siblings, Anita Malcolm Lintzen and her husband Buddy, William Roger "Billy" Launey and his wife Linda, Karl Ira Launey and Angela Launey Hoffpauir. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, Susie. She was preceded in death by one son, Blaine Patrick Prejean; her parents, Lara Hart and Myrtle Juanita Lyons Launey; one sister, Eleanor Belle "Poochie" Schenck; and her first husband and father of her children, Lionel Astor Prejean. Patricia's family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Hospice of Acadiana, for all of the care and compassion she received in the weeks prior to her passing.
