Patricia Ann Snead Gatti

On Tuesday, January 31, 2023, Patricia Ann Snead Gatti, loving wife and mother of two children, passed away peacefully at Pelican Pointe Healthcare & Rehabilitation in Maurice, Louisiana, at the age of 73 and is now in the arms of her Savior, Jesus Christ. Ann was born on August 17, 1949 at Barksdale Air Force Base in Bossier City, Louisiana, to Reginald Taylor Snead and Minnie Edna Ford Snead. On October 30, 1974, she married the love of her life, Carl Jones Gatti, Jr. She is the proud mother of two children, Carla Cecile Gatti Ingram and Carl Jones “C.J.” Gatti III, and step-mother to Karen D. Gatti Foster. Ann was raised in an Air Force family and lived in a variety of places growing up. After graduating from Martin High School, she attended business school and spent her early career as a secretary. She was always very involved in church, singing in the choir, playing the piano, and serving anywhere she was needed. She was a loving, devoted wife to Carl for 46 years, before he passed away in May 2021, and a precious mother to Carla and CJ over the years. One of her proudest accomplishments was going back to college at USL at 41 years old, and graduating sum cum laude at 45 with her bachelor’s degree in elementary education in 1996. She had an incredible teaching career in Lafayette Parish, spending most of her 22-year career at Charles M. Burke Elementary School in Duson, LA, where she developed many priceless friendships and absolutely adored all of her students throughout the years. She loved the Lord and read her Bible nearly every day, and had a deeply rooted faith in the goodness and sovereignty of God. She was an extremely thoughtful person (known for her beautiful sticker-covered, handwritten cards), and she was generous with her time and resources beyond measure. She had a sweet smile, a kind heart, and a wittiness that made her really funny. Ann was preceded in death by her father, Reginald Taylor Snead, her mother, Minnie Edna Snead, and her husband, Carl Jones Gatti, Jr. She is survived by her two children, Carla C. Gatti Ingram and her husband Stacy, and Carl Jones “C.J.” Gatti, III, her step-daughter Karen D. Gatti Foster and her husband Garth, her brother Daniel Ray Snead and his wife Jody, her grandchildren Dakota Ingram, Gentry Ingram, Caelee Gatti, Colton Gatti, Cullen Gatti, Christen Conner, Cody Foster and his wife Jackie, Rachel Foster, Jacob Foster and several great-grandchildren. A celebration of life memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at 2:00 PM at the Midtown Campus of Our Savior’s Church, located at 101 Marie Antoinette Street in Lafayette, Louisiana.
