Paul "Tee-Pop" Touchet

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, August 24, 2018 in the Delhomme Funeral Home of Scott for Mr. Paul “Tee-Pop” Edmar Touchet, 76, who passed away on August 19, 2018 at 8:03PM at St. Joseph Hospice Carpenter House. Deacon Cliff Tanner will conduct the funeral service. Mr. Touchet, a native of Judice and resident of Lafayette, was the son of the late Balthazar Touchet and the former Rita Trahan. He proudly served in the USMC, U.S. Army and was stationed in Ansbach, Germany for four years. Mr. Touchet was a drilling superintendent and worked around the world and aboard two drill ships, the Glomar Conception and the Discover 234. He retired from Exxon and Oxidental Petroleum and after retirement, he was a consultant for Francis Brown Consultants International based out of Houston. Mr. Touchet enjoyed playing golf, and was an avid LSU fan. He was a loving husband, a good father, loving grandfather, good brother and will be sadly missed by all that loved him. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Lynda Bourque Touchet; children, Tonya Touchet Leger, Roderick Touchet and wife Christin; grandchildren, Joshua Leger, Jordyn Leger, Trenton Touchet, Ryan Touchet, Morgan Touchet; twin brother, Peter Touchet and wife Lena; and sister, Helen Richard and husband C.J. He was preceded in death by his parents, Balthazar and Rita Touchet; and one brother, Rodney Touchet. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home of Scott on Thursday, August 23, 2018 from 11:00AM to 8:00PM. A recitation of the Rosary will be at 6:00PM on Thursday evening at the funeral home. Visiting hours will continue on Friday from 8:00AM until the time of service. In keeping with Mr. Touchet's wishes, cremation will follow the service. Pallbearers will be Roderick Touchet, Josh Leger, Troy Dupuis, Dennis Bourque, Peter Touchet and Burley Pellerin. Honorary Pallbearers will be Trenton, Ryan Touchet, Jeff Harris and Barry Arnold. The family would like to thank Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital and the Carpenter House, as well as all of the family and friends that prayed for Mr. Touchet.
