Pearl Mary Judice

Funeral Services will be held at a 1:30 pm Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, January 20, 2009 at St Mary Catholic Church for Pearl Mary Judice; a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Pearl Judice, 86, passed away peacefully at her home in Lafayette, with her family by her side, on January 18, 2009 at 2:22 am. Reverend Harold Trahan, Pastor of St Mary Catholic Church, will be Celebrant of the Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Interment will take place in Lafayette Memorial Park. Mrs. Judice, a resident of Lafayette, was the daughter of the late Laurent Cormier and Agnes Greene Cormier of Cecilia. She was the top graduate of her Cecilia High School class and worked many years for First National Bank of Lafayette before beginning her family. She was co-owner of Judice Inn with her sister-in-law Gladys Judice. Judice Inn was founded in 1947 by her late husband Alcide Judice and his brother Marc Judice. She and her husband were instrumental in the formation of Our Lady of Fatima Parish and she was an active parishioner of St Mary Catholic Church. Her life revolved around her family and friends, especially her grandchildren; and her strong religious convictions and deep faith in Christ. Mrs. Judice was survived by her six children; Debbie Kremheller and her husband, Walter Kremheller of Lafayette, Kenneth Judice and his wife, Barbara Tiffee Judice of Lafayette, Cara Judice Escott and her husband, Dane Escott of Lafayette, Reggie Judice and his wife, Claire Hesse Judice of Lafayette, Monica Judice Strenge and her husband, Keith Strenge of Houston, Texas and Rayburn Judice and his wife, Tara Dartez Judice of Houston, Texas; eighteen grandchildren, Christopher Kremheller and Elizabeth West, Tiffany Judice Clemency and her husband, Brian Clemency, Mathew Judice, Michelle Judice, Rachael Judice, Taylor Judice, Ryan Escott, Brittany Escott, Chase Escott and his wife, Lacie, Jonathan Judice, Jake Judice, Nathan Judice, Andrew Strenge, Aaron Judice, Jacqueline Judice, Nicholas Judice, Luke Judice and Alec Hebert; three great grandchildren, Charlie Clemency, Megan Pearl Clemency and Julia West; and five siblings, Margaret Cormier Roberts, Irene Cormier Dupre, Lurcy Cormier Wyatt, Fred Cormier and Laurent Cormier Jr. In addition to her own children, Mrs. Judice had a special place in her heart for Marc Wayne Judice, Larry Judice, Kathy Judice David, JoAnne Judice George, Michael Judice, Sandra Judice Moore and Gerald Judice. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alcide Judice; her parents, Laurent Cormier and Agnes Green Cormier; and her brothers James Cormier and Sydney Cormier. The family extends special thanks to her care givers, Gail Mcleod, Faye McKenzie, Shirley Ware, Janice Freeman, Lily Harmon and Betty Daigle. Also special thanks to Sister Nira and Sister Hilda, Hospice of Acadiana and her medical doctors, Dr. John Mickey and Dr. Ken McCarron. The family requests that visiting hours be observed on Monday from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm and will continue on Tuesday from 9:00 am until time of service at Delhomme Funeral Home of Lafayette. A rosary will be recited at 6:30 pm on Monday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be her grandsons Chris Kremheller, Ryan Escott, Chase Escott, Matthew Judice, Aaron Judice, Nick Judice, Jonathan Judice, Taylor Judice, Jake Judice, Nathan Judice and Andrew Strenge.
