Rayford G. Domingue

Funeral Services will be held at an 11:00 am Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, October 8, 2013 in Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church Scott, LA, for Rayford G. "Brud" Domingue, 80, who passed away on Sunday, October 6, 2013 at 6:00 am at his residence. Reverend Thomas Voorhies, Pastor of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, will be Celebrant of the Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Entombment will take place in Sts. Peter & Paul Mausoleum. Rayford, a resident of Scott, was the son of the late Eleanor Domingue and the former Etta Richard. Brud was a veteran of the Korean War having served in the United States Army. He worked for Southern Pacific Railroad for over forty one years. His hobbies were playing golf, training and riding horses, going on trail rides, spending time with family, playing Boree`, parties with family and friends, cracking jokes and loving life. He is survived by his loving wife of fifty nine years Verna LeBlanc Domingue; his son, Danny Domingue and his wife Debra; his three daughters, Jan D. Degeytaire and her husband Richael, Fran D. Prejean and her husband Kirk, and Missi D. Roger and her husband Sid; his grandchildren, Ashley, Danielle, Chance, Mitch, Aimee and Christi; and his great grandchildren Mary, Derek, Devin, Addison and Olivia. He was preceded in death by his parents, his great granddaughter Cheyenne, and his sister, Barbara D. Thibodeaux. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home of Scott, LA on Monday, October 7, 2013 from 10:00 am until 8:00 pm. A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 pm by Deacon Art Bakeler on Monday October 7, 2013 evening in the funeral home. Visiting hours will continue Tuesday, October 8, 2013 from 8:00 am until the time of service. Pallbearers will be Danny Domingue, Richael Degeytaire, Kirk Prejean, Sid Roger, Randy Thibodeaux and Jimmy Thibodeaux. Honorary Pallbearers will be Forest Duhon, Carroll LeBlanc, Rickey Thibodeaux, Glenn Credeur, Doyle Boudreaux and Dr. Danny Carroll. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of Acadiana 2600 Johnston Street Suite 200 Lafayette, LA 70506. The family wishes to thank the staff of Hospice of Acadiana and Leading Healthcare for the love and compassion shown to Rayford.
