Funeral Services will be held at a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at Our Lady of Fatima Church for Regina Arnaud, 93, who passed away on March 25, 2010 at 8:10PM at Maison De Lafayette. Reverend Michael Russo, Pastor of Our Lady of Fatima Church , will be Celebrant of the Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Burial will take place following Mass in St. Leo Catholic Cemetery in Leonville, LA. Graveside services will be conducted by Reverend Godwin Nzeh, Associate Pastor of St. Leo Catholic Church in Leonville, LA Ms. Arnaud, a resident of Lafayette, LA, was the daughter of the late Rodolphe Antoine Arnaud of Arnaudville, LA and the former Madeline Guilhas of Leonville, LA. She was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Church . Regina, also known as Sister Pius of the Ministry of the Marianites of Holy Cross, was a talented teacher, artist and author. She did beautiful work in oils, water colors, china painting, porcelain, terra cotta sculptures and children's books illustrations. She loved children and was a friend to many both here and abroad, having sponsored a number of children through the Worldvision organization. She had a love of learning and was interested in many topics. Her quest for knowledge and her appreciation of the importance and value of education remained with her to her last day. Her sense of humor and wit will be missed by the many who loved her. She is survived by one sister, Blanche A. Baker of Lafayette, LA and a host of loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and twelve siblings. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home of Lafayette Monday, March 29, 2010 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm with a rosary at 6:30 pm and will resume at 8:00 am Tuesday until time of service. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Reaux, David Baker, Kevin Gary, Tom McBride, Pierre McBride, Robert McBride and Michel Arnaud. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Glen Mire, Bill Baker and Michael Baker. Giftbearers will be Tucker Gary and Chase Gary. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting mass offerings for Regina, or that memorial contributions be made to Worldvision, www.Worldvision.org or Hospice of Acadiana, 2600 Johnston Street, Ste. 200, Lafayette, LA 70503.
