A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, July 14, 2015 in Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers for Robert "Bobby" LeBourgeois, 78, who passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2015 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center. Reverend Gilbert Dutel, Pastor of St. Edmond Catholic Church, will be Celebrant of the Funeral Mass and conduct the funeral service. Burial will take place in Bellevue Cemetery, 4833 Hwy 182, Opelousas, LA 70570. Bobby, a resident of Lafayette, LA was the son of the late Howard Young and the former Wilda McClelland Young both of St. Landry Parish. Bobby will always be remembered as being a loving husband father grandfather great grandfather and friend to all who knew him. He was a State Champion in his high school days. He loved watching old westerns on TV he also loved spending time with his Boxing Friends and with his family. He is survived by his sons, Mitch LeBourgeois and Michael B LeBourgeois and wife Anita, and their five children, Nancy Messser and husband Ryan, and their children, Mackenzie, Emma and Isaac, Chad Alleman, Kyle LeBourgeois and wife Melanie and their children, Olivia and Aubree, Ashley Comeaux and husband Damon and their children, Brennon and Saylor, Kim King and finacee' Ky Conque. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Myra Sibille LeBourgeois, his brother, Ronald Young. Pallbearers will be Kyle LeBourgeois, Damon Comeaux, Brennon Comeaux, Ky Conque, Greg Viator and Caleb Degeyter. Honorary Pallbearers will be Alan Chasteen, Rayland Romero and Steven Johnson. Bobby's family would to send a special Thank You to the Staff and Cargivers of the fourth floor Neuro Unit at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center. Also a Special Thank You Dr. Hector Robles for his many years of care given to Bobby and his wife Myra. We would like to Thank our cousin Robalee for special care and help, to our friends and family for all their prayers and being there in our time of need. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home on Bertrand Drive on Monday, July 13, 2015 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm Monday in the funeral home. Visitation will continue on Tuesday, July 14, 2015 from 8:00 am until time of services.
