Funeral Services will be held at a 11:00 am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Alphonsus Cathoic Church in Maurice, LA. on Monday May 20, 2013 for Ruby Bourque Meaux, 80, who passed away on Friday May 17, 2013 at 6:36 pm at The Regional Medical Center of Acadiana. Reverend Joseph Breaux, Pastor of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, will be Celebrant of the Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Burial will take place in Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Cemetery in Mire, LA Ruby, a resident of Maurice, LA was the daughter of the late Dudley Bourque and the former Marie Benoit. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She loved to travel with Daddy and make new friends. She loved taking care of her family. In her spare time she loved making custom drapes and Roman Shades for Interior Fabrics. She was the best!! She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her husband of 58 years Albert A. Meaux, her daughters, Sandra M. Denais and her husband, Kenneth J., and Karen M. Broussard and her husband, Kevin J., all of Maurice, LA. her son, Michael J. Meaux of Cankton, LA., her grandchildren, Brandon J. Denais and his wife, Ashley, and Brady A. Broussard and his wife, Lauren, her great grandchildren, Jaxon J. Denais, Talon M. and Ava E. Broussard, her step grandaughters, Sadie and Sydney, her step great grandson, Cohen, her brother, Calvin Bourque and his wife, Bea Ella of Sunset, LA. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home 200 Chief H. Fred Road, in Maurice, LA on Sunday May 19, 2013 from 3:00 pm until time of service the funeral home will remain open all night. A Rosary will be recited at 6:15 pm on Sunday May 19, 2013 evening in the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Kenneth and Brandon Denais, Kevin and Brady Broussard, Donald Breaux, James "Brod" Benoit, Elmo Royer and Calvin Bourque.
