Solange Sue Dore'

Solange Sue Dore’ passed away peacefully and surrounded by family on the 12th of January 2015. Solange was born on the 8th of June in Breaux Bridge, LA to Seliven and Elena Dore’, who preceded her in death. Solange adored her large family–spending time with her children and grandchildren warmed her heart. She taught us how to live fully, passionately, bravely and courageously, just as she lived hers. She is now in the arms of our blessed Lord–reunited with her parents; Brother, Francis Dore’; Son, Wilton Sonnier Jr.; and Grandson, Shannon Castille. Solange is survived by her four daughters, Barbara Cannon Castille, Soundra Rivero (Harold Benoit), Bonnie d’Augereau and Maxine Landry (Joseph Landry Jr.), all of Lafayette, LA; sixteen grandchildren, twenty-five great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild - Robin Martin (Corey Martin, Paxton Martin)of Breaux Bridge; Joey Castille (Hannah Castille, Hailee Castille) of New Orleans, LA; Rachael Sonnier (David Sonnier, Adriana Troglen, Alexander Sonnier) of Lafayette; Michelle Rivero (David Richard, Meghan Foppiano, Lucy Gaspard) of Lafayette; Nelson Rivero (Ashley Rivero, Jacob Rivero, Mia Rivero, Nelson Rivero III, Samantha Rivero, Sunny Rivero) of Lafayette; Solange Noriega (James Noriega, Carson Noriega) of Lafayette; Andreah Rivero (Dennis Prejean, Elena Rougeau, Ana Bell Gaspard, Josefina Gaspard, Ronnie Lane Gaspard III) of Lafayette; Sonya Wright (Roger Wright, Gabriel Wright, Julia Wright) of South Riding, VA; Tina Zaldua (Kevin Zaldua, Blair Ramsey, Blake Ramsey, Brock Ramsey) of Leesburg,VA; Danielle d’Augereau of Lafayette, Shane Landry of Texas, Leah Landry of Culver City, CA, Amanda Schwegmann-Jordan (Patrick Jordan, Cannon Schwegmann)of Lafayette; Kelly Dunn (Bobby Dunn, Christian Dunn) of Scott; Natalia Sonnier Andrade (Miguel Andrade, Maddox Andrade) of Lafayette, Kashlyn Sonnier and Kaye Sonnier of Lafayette, other relatives and a host of friends. Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on the 14th of January 2015 at Delhomme Funeral Home on Bertrand Dr., Lafayette, LA. Recitation of the Holy Rosary is to be at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Visitation will resume on Thursday January 15, 2015 from 8:00 a.m. until the Funeral Mass at 10:00 am. Solange will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery in Lafayette, LA. Pallbearers will be Carson Noriega, James Noriega, Nelson Rivero, Jacob Rivero, David Sonnier, and Roger Wright. Honorary Pallbearers are Joseph H. Landry Jr., Patrick Jordan, Harold Benoit, Corey Martin, Paxton Martin and Bobby Dunn.
